The Tag Cup was created by acclaimed designer Kanae Tsukamoto for h Concept—a Tokyo-based design company known for turning small, thoughtful ideas into lasting joy. Inspired by traditional Japanese practices of sensing food through touch and sight, this modern porcelain mug brings comfort, warmth, and versatility into daily rituals.

Kanae Tsukamoto

After early roles at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and GK Design Research Institute Hiroshima, Kanae Tsukamoto pursued further study in tableware at the University of Art and Design Helsinki (UIAH) and the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. Following a stint with a UK-based company, he returned to Japan and established Kanaé Design Labo in 1999, where he continues his practice today. Tsukamoto is a member of the iF Design Award jury and has received numerous international accolades for his work.
